University of California, San Francisco Position Description

The University of California, San Francisco, Division of Cardiology, is seeking to hire an excellent candidate to serve as Chief of Adult Congenital Heart Disease for a rapidly growing clinic and inpatient service. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Adult Congenital Heart Disease. The ideal candidate should also have experience building and leading programs, or the potential to lead programs, and has a national presence with research, education or service to the field of ACHD. The successful candidate will report directly to the Cardiology Division Chief and work closely with other Cardiology Division members, the Pediatric Cardiology Division, and other Departmental and Health System leaders in developing and executing strategies for continued growth and operational efficiency of the ACHD program. The candidate will be an outstanding clinician with an outpatient cardiology practice and is either a nationally recognized or an up-and-coming clinical and academic leader in Cardiology. Applicants must hold MD (or equivalent degree), MD/PhD (or equivalent), or MD/MPH (or equivalent) and be qualified for appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the ACHD Section’s growth and to provide world‑class service to patients in the Bay Area and beyond. Faculty recruit will attend the cardiology inpatient and consult services and maintain an ambulatory practice. Faculty may also perform duties as an attending physician in the echo lab. How to Apply

The minimum base salary range for this position is $131,200–$344,400. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides eligibility for additional compensation. Document Requirements
