Overview The Mars Agency is seeking a VP, Connected Commerce to be the single point of contact, key owner and lead of the Connected Commerce Retail‑Specific activity overseeing a multi‑segment, multi‑brand CPG client, 40+ person team.
Primary Responsibilities
Driver of Connected Commerce - linking all the levers across shopper marketing, retail media and ecommerce needed to deliver most efficient and effective omni‑channel activation.
Drives consistency and improvements across all retail team deliverables that are client facing in collaboration with Retail team leads and cross functional partners
Drives Best Practices across full Life of A Job at retail
Helps curate and deliver thought leadership specific to connected commerce in partnership with cross functional peers
Oversight and leader of Annual Planning at retail
Collaborating to drive top‑down integration with Customer Promotions, Brand and National Media
Lead Client facing Sr level executive communications
Industry facing joint leadership with client, ie trade relations and speaking engagements
Scoping and Budget leadership management
Skills
Excel in communication - written, verbal, presentation
10+ years’ experience leading large CPG brand with retail media, ecommerce and shopper marketing
Executive level presence and experience
Understanding of key components of CPG and retailer relationships - Joint Business Planning, Top 2 Tops, Channel Strategies and Category Strategies
Existing experience and relationships with Retail Media Partners
Multi‑segment/Brand Annual Planning Experience

Compensation Range: $160,000- $200,000 This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third‑party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
