Director of Industrial Sales – Wilcoxon Sensing Technologies
We are looking for an experienced Director of Industrial Sales to lead and grow our industrial business. Joined by a geographically distributed team of Sales Managers, Inside Sales Team Manager, Inside Sales Representatives, Customer Account Specialists and an Industrial Product Manager, you will translate strategic direction into effective execution, balancing high‑level planning with day‑to‑day tactical decisions. This role reports directly to the General Manager and is a contributing member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Location: Frederick, MD Base pay range: $160,000.00/yr – $180,000.00/yr Remote: 100% remote, travel required >60% of the time (domestic and international, including visits to manufacturing plants).
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate APTP Industrial sales functions.
Grow business with existing customers and develop new customer relationships.
Recommend and identify new products and expand reseller and distribution channels.
Expand presence in existing and new geographic regions.
Evaluate new business opportunities and provide guidance on pricing.
Monitor and evaluate performance against goals, generate accurate forecasts and monthly reports with analytics.
Define and direct the sales strategy, implementing initiatives aligned with company growth.
Manage sales personnel, including career planning, goal setting, compensation and related HR matters.
Develop and communicate monthly orders and sales targets.
Provide input into budget for sales and marketing activities and participate in business planning with the General Manager.
Visit potential and existing customers to maintain personal engagement.
Provide strategic oversight of NPI and production timelines, influencing the product introduction roadmap.
Maintain customer and account sales history records.
Participate in cross‑functional teams with Product Management, Engineering, Operations and Executive Management.
Develop new project proposals and represent the company at community and business meetings.
Supervise preparation, issuance and delivery of sales materials, exhibits and promotion programs.
Promote positive relations with partners, vendors and distributors.
Recommend and administer policies and procedures to enhance operations.
Establish short‑ and long‑range departmental goals, objectives and operating procedures.
Build and maintain relationships with other Amphenol businesses.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years in the sensor industry or a similar field.
Minimum 5 years in a senior‑level sales, product management or sales engineering position with demonstrable revenue growth.
Preferred experience in the industrial vibration CBM market.
Experience with OEM, stocking distribution, reseller networks and direct sales.
Experience with marketing and MARCOM activities.
Experience leading and managing teams both within and outside the organization.
Proven strategic planning and execution skills.
Remote work with >60% travel required; ability to travel to manufacturing plants, domestic and international.
Must be a U.S. person or protected individual as defined by ITAR.

Environmental & Physical Requirements Office / Sedentary work. Ability to sit for extended periods (66%+ of each day), hear telephone, enter data on a computer and lift up to 10 pounds. Must be able to perform essential functions of the job.
