Accounting & Finance Recruiter (direct hire, contract to hire, and contract type placements)
LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to work at one of our centrally located San Diego clients. In this role, you will be responsible for processing approximately 125 invoices per week in a very manual, paper-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with 3-way matching and be comfortable working onsite initially, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement in the future.
Key Responsibilities
Process and review invoices for accuracy and completeness
Perform 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents
Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts payable transactions
Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies
Assist with month-end closing and reconciliation of accounts payable
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable role
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and 3-way matching
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
