Pay Information:
Salary on the Adjunct College Salary Schedule (view schedule).
Major Responsibilities
Provide instruction in accordance with the established curriculum and course outlines.
Teach all scheduled classes (lecture, lab, or combination).
Maintain professional conduct, ethics, and current knowledge in the subject matter.
Maintain accurate records and be available to students outside of class.
Create a learning environment that encourages free discussion of ideas, interests, and issues.
Minimum Qualifications
Any Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution AND 2 years of professional experience directly related to the area of assignment; OR
Any Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution AND 6 years of professional experience directly related to the area of assignment; OR
The equivalent.
Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse student and staff backgrounds.
Desired Qualifications
California Community College Instructor Credential in Psychology (valid for life).
Foreign degree evaluations (NACES or AICE).
Special Instructions to Applicants
Submit official college transcripts.
Provide a Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam (renew every 4 years).
Have fingerprints taken by Live Scan computer (clearance prior to first day).
Present original documents proving U.S. work eligibility.
Conditions of Employment Position is open until filled; applicants will be added to an adjunct pool and may be assigned in fall, spring, or summer semesters.
