As a welding fabricator, you will be responsible for joining metal using a variety of techniques, often to form new structures. Duties may include cutting and welding materials according to technical plans.
Demonstrates the ability to utilize press brake, metal shear, and all welder types.
Visualizes a finished product/repair and creates a satisfactory plan for the process.
Fabricates, welds, and inspects products in a safe and efficient manner to meet customer requirements.
Demonstrates the ability to disassemble and assemble equipment with some guidance from others to perform repairs.
Demonstrates an understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems related to the welding repair of equipment.
Determines the cost effectiveness of repairs to equipment, the prioritization of repairs, and the available resources used to perform the repairs; monitor the budget.
Participates in annual physical inventory.
Must be able to trouble shoot fabrication, welding and grinding issues to keep projects moving forward with little or no assistance.
Works with the priority of safety over production for self, co-workers, and the public at all times.
Maintains current knowledge of, abide by, communicates and enforces all safety laws, regulations, policies, and procedures and wears all required personal protective equipment.
Ensures daily housekeeping is maintained within assigned department and surrounding areas.
Promotes the use of sound and effective safety practices in the performance of all functions
Qualifications
2-4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with background in welding preferred.
Good driving record.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
