The Role: As a Staff QA Engineer I, you contribute to the quality assurance process by developing and executing both manual and automated tests to ensure our software meets the highest quality standards. You work closely with development teams to identify, reproduce, and document bugs, while also designing robust test plans and strategies to ensure product reliability. Your expertise in testing methodologies helps guide the team in adopting best practices, and you act as a mentor for junior engineers, helping them grow their testing skills.

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and bug fixes

Build and maintain automated test suites to ensure continuous integration and delivery

Perform manual testing on new product features and regression testing for product releases

Work with development teams to reproduce, analyze, and troubleshoot complex issues

Document test cases, processes, and defects to maintain a thorough QA documentation system

Implement and improve existing QA methodologies, ensuring the team follows best practices

Collaborate with product and engineering teams to refine requirements and ensure test coverage

Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts

Mentor and coach QA engineers across regions, providing support on test design, automation, and defect investigation

Review and improve existing automated testing frameworks and tools

Communicate test results clearly to developers and stakeholders

While this role starts as an individual contributor, we expect the person to gradually take on leadership responsibilities after fully onboarding into the team and the codebase (typically within ~1–3 months). As part of this growth path, the Staff QA Engineer will:

Lead technical initiatives across squads and guide the long‑term testing strategy

Drive cross‑team quality improvements and influence architectural decisions

Provide technical leadership for automation projects and framework evolution

Mentor and coach QA engineers, helping them level up in automation, test design, and quality mindset

Take ownership of coordination across engineering, product, and DevOps

Over time, take on selected people‑leadership responsibilities (e.g., coaching, supporting growth conversations, and leading team‑wide quality efforts)

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in QA engineering, with a focus on both manual and automated testing

Proficiency in automated testing frameworks (i.e., Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit)

Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools (i.e. GitLab, GitHub)

Solid understanding of software development and QA methodologies

Experience working with bug tracking and test management tools (i.e., JIRA, TestRail)

Experience with LambdaTest or similar AI Testing tools

A strong passion for using AI technologies to enhance productivity, quality, and innovation

Proven leadership experience within a QA organization

Strong ownership mindset, capable of driving quality initiatives across distributed teams and aligning test efforts with product and engineering priorities

Fluency in Polish and English
