What this role is about: This is a hands-on IT leader role responsible for ERP ownership, IT operations, and cybersecurity compliance in an aerospace/defense manufacturing environment. The Director of IT ensures systems support manufacturing, finance, and supply chain while keeping the company CMMC compliant and secure.
Top priorities: Own and optimize the ERP system (IFS preferred) for manufacturing, finance, and supply chain Lead CMMC compliance (NIST 800-171, DFARS, ITAR) Run all IT infrastructure and operations (cloud, network, systems, vendors) Lead IT team, budget, and roadmap Support digital transformation and legacy system modernization
Ideal background: 10+ years in IT leadership Strong manufacturing ERP experience (IFS, SAP, Oracle, etc.) Proven CMMC implementation in a Defense Industrial Base (DIB) company Aerospace or defense industry experience Hands-on leader (not purely strategic)
