Base Pay Range
$115,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr
Job Description
EAG Laboratories is seeking a skilled Scientist to support our analytical services including Electron Microscopy and Atom Probe. You will play a key role in customer interaction, specimen preparation, data collection, and analysis to support our clients.
Typical Day
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality analysis to clients.
- Prepare TEM and APT specimens using FIB.
- Operate CAMECA LEAP for data acquisition and data analysis using AP Suite6 software.
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Coordinate with equipment vendors to minimize downtime.
- Conduct data processing and reporting.
- Document and report analytical findings clearly and accurately.
- Work cross‑functionally with internal teams on integrated microscopy projects.

Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM (+10% shift differential)
Qualifications
- MS or PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience on specimen preparation using APT, FIB and TEM.
- Skilled in handling delicate, chip‑sized samples with precision tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Skilled with APT data analysis using customized coding programs.
- Experience with CAMECA LEAP instrument.
- Familiarity with automated specimen fabrication using FIB/SEM systems.
- Experience and knowledge with semiconductor technologies and processes.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to continuously operate a personal computer or lab equipment for extended periods (4+ hours).
- Occasional movement around the office or laboratory to access cabinets, machinery, equipment, etc.
- Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and other equipment.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time.
- Ability to speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in group settings.
- Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions, and communicate with visitors.
