Deputy General Counsel, Compliance – Enovix Corporation
Location: San Jose, CA
Responsibilities
- Identify and implement the trade compliance platform E2Open globally.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to senior management and other departments, interpreting legal issues and supporting legal conflicts.
- Advising on regulatory compliance: develop and implement corporate governance and compliance policies and procedures across the organization, ensuring integration into new programs and initiatives.
- Direct and/or indirect management of compliance and legal teams to ensure compliance across all areas, including international trade, environmental/health/safety, product regulatory, product safety, and data privacy.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a framework for assessing and reporting cybersecurity, compliance, and enterprise risks to senior management, and track implementation measures.
- Assist with ESG compliance and reporting.
- Conduct legal research and stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting the organization, providing guidance on their impact.
- Collaborate with other departments to manage legal risks, ensure compliance, and provide legal guidance; responsible for global training on various legal topics.
- Handle other legal matters that may arise to support the General Counsel.
Education
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Current law license in good standing from any U.S. state, and eligibility to be licensed or practice through in-house authorization in California.
Work Experience
- 20 years of experience in a major law firm and/or corporate legal department, including 5 years of team leadership.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Effective negotiation, communication, presentation, and drafting skills.
- High work capacity and passion for the job, coupled with high ethical and moral standards.
- Ability to independently work on highly complex legal matters.
- Previous experience in a global manufacturing environment and publicly‑traded company.
