We are seeking a Swiss CNC Manager to join our dynamic manufacturing team at our location in Peachtree City, GA (30 miles south of Atlanta). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming on Swiss Machines, strong attention to detail, precision, and quality. The work hours are 5:00am - 3:30pm (four 10 hour days per week) Monday – Thursday. Pay is commensurate with experience, relocation assistance is provided if needed, and employees are eligible for health and other insurance on the first day of the month following the first day of employment. In addition to health insurance, we offer dental/vision, short/long term disability, and life insurance. After 6 months of employment, employees may enroll in the company 401k plan.

Responsibilities

* Programs Swiss CNC lathes using PartMaker software; calculates requirements, quotes cycle times, using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs

*Oversee set-ups and daily operation of producing parts that meet blueprint specifications and tolerances

*Supervise staff of 4 employees, mentoring and training

· Sets up Swiss CNC lathe machines (Citizens and Tornos)

· Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference places, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GS&T)

· Works with Engineering on new part production

· Monitors parts through production by visual observation and dimensional measurement to ensure products meet specifications; performs any applicable deburring.

· Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.

· Performs preventive and general maintenance on machines, troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

· Adhere to safety procedures and regulations.

Qualifications

· 5+ years Swiss CNC Machine set up experience in a manufacturing environment

· 5+ Programming/set-up experience - strong experience using CAD/CAM software. Partmaker experience a plus

*Supervisory experience preferred

· Ability to read blueprints and produce parts to specification. Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerance (GD&T)

· Experience in tool changes and machine maintenance

· Experience in the use of inspection and measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and optical comparator

· Knowledge of a variety of metal materials and their machinability

· Exceptional mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

· Quality driven and strong attention to detail.

· Lean manufacturing knowledge and experience

· AA degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline a plus
