Lead Medical Technologist – Blood Bank
Brighton, MA | Onsite | Full-Time (Days 7:00am–3:30pm)
Salary: $61,000.00 to $88,000.00 per annum
About the Role We’re looking for an experienced
Lead Medical Technologist
to join our Blood Bank team. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, support quality initiatives, and guide daily operations in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities Perform routine and complex Blood Bank bench testing. Oversee QA/QC activities, instrument maintenance, and CAP survey participation. Review and validate procedures, documentation, and quality data. Support regulatory compliance (AABB, CAP, CLIA, TJC, OSHA, DPH). Coordinate staff scheduling, workload distribution, and training.
Must-Have Qualifications Associate’s degree in medical technology
or related science. 3–5 years
full-time experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist. Strong experience in Blood Bank testing and clinical laboratory operations.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in medical technology
or related field. ASCP certification
(MLS/BB) or equivalent. 6+ years in a Blood Bank or transfusion service. Knowledge of lab regulatory requirements and quality systems.
