API Automation Tester with Cypress/Playwright Join to apply for the API Automation tester with Cypress/Playwright role at Cognizant Atlanta, GA | $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 About The Role As an API Automation Tester with Cypress/Playwright, you will make an impact by ensuring high-quality software delivery through robust automation testing practices. You will be a valued member of our Quality Engineering team and collaborate closely with product managers, business stakeholders, and offshore teams to deliver exceptional results. In This Role, You Will Design and execute automation test scripts for UI and API using Cypress/Playwright. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and execution. Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams to align on requirements and deliverables. Coordinate with clients and product owners to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage. Prepare test plans, test cases, and test data for in-scope user stories. Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Atlanta, GA. What You Need To Have To Be Considered 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering and Assurance. 4+ years of hands‑on experience in UI and API automation using Cypress/Playwright, Mocha, Chai, JavaScript, TypeScript, Cucumber, and related tools. Strong experience with CI/CD tools and test management platforms such as JIRA and ALM. Proven ability to lead and coordinate onsite/offshore teams and manage client communications. Experience working in Agile environments and Banking domain projects. These Will Help You Stand Out Expertise in creating allure reports and advanced automation frameworks. Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to drive regression automation and in-sprint automation effectively. Familiarity with emerging automation trends and best practices.
