Mosaic People Solutions is hiring: Accounting Manager in San Diego

A fast-growing, publicly traded life sciences organization is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Manager, Accounting to join its expanding Finance & Accounting team. This is a high-impact leadership role supporting monthly close, global consolidations, and complex accounting operations in a regulated, high-growth environment. This position blends hands-on technical accounting leadership with team management, process optimization, and cross-functional partnership across Accounting, Finance, SEC Reporting, Tax, IT, and executive leadership. What You’ll Own Lead and develop a global general ledger team aligned with the monthly close and reporting calendar Oversee balance sheet reconciliations including cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued expenses, leases, debt, FX, and intercompany balances Own royalty accounting including calculations, accruals, and intercompany reconciliations Manage accrued expenses, PO tracking, unbilled estimates, vendor trend analysis, and budget vs. actuals Oversee intercompany and inter-entity eliminations for accurate consolidations Prepare and manage monthly consolidations and legal entity roll-ups Perform monthly EBITDA reporting, P&L and balance sheet analytics, and flux analysis Prepare quarterly SAB 99 analyses and related debt compliance calculations Act as a key accounting stakeholder for NetSuite maintenance and enhancements Maintain accounting policies, controls, and procedures in alignment with U.S. GAAP Partner closely with external auditors and support quarterly reviews and annual audits Drive continuous improvement across systems, reporting, and internal controls Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed What They’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 8+ years of progressive accounting experience 3+ years of people management experience Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting Experience with consolidated financials and intercompany accounting Public accounting background strongly preferred Experience in a strong SOX/control environment Life sciences, biotech, or regulated industry experience preferred Global or multinational accounting exposure Advanced NetSuite experience across multiple entities Strong written communication, documentation, and analytical skills Highly organized, able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment Collaborative, business-minded accounting leader Why This Role This is a great opportunity for a technically strong accounting leader who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, building teams, improving systems, and supporting a complex global organization in a highly regulated industry. #J-18808-Ljbffr
