Associate Director of Training, Clinical PsyD - Dallas Location (Plano, TX)

The Chicago School is a nonprofit university committed to creating a diverse pipeline of future professionals who will improve the health and well‑being of diverse communities.

We are looking for an Associate Director of Training to join the Clinical PsyD program on the Dallas campus. The position requires hybrid attendance, teaching 9 credits, and supporting student practicum and internship experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Advising – maintain an advisee load, mentor advisees, prepare vita and application materials, write recommendation letters, document progress, present to Faculty at semester reviews.
  • Develop and maintain a network of practicum sites and relationships with site supervisors.
  • Chair dissertations as needed.
  • Assist students in site selection, application review, and troubleshooting practicum/internship issues.
  • Monitor practicum performance, including evaluations, hour logs, and related paperwork.
  • Manage updates on the Tevera system, track practicum data.
  • Advise on remediation planning and communicate with academic department.
  • Participate in strategic planning and consult on course development.
  • Teach 9 credits as assigned, participate in re‑accreditation efforts.
  • Interact successfully with a diverse population and embed the university’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Maintain ethical behavior, confidentiality, and comply with all regulations.
  • Attend Faculty Council, Clinical PsyD Department, and Directors of Clinical Training meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Training.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral level from an APA‑accredited program.
  • Texas licensed (or license‑eligible) psychologist.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a car.
  • Prior experience with supervision and training of graduate level students.
  • Prior teaching at the graduate level.

  • Computer proficiency – Microsoft Office.

Compensation & Benefits

This opportunity is budgeted at $80,000–$85,000 base compensation. Additional compensation factors may impact total compensation. Benefits include generous paid time‑off, medical and dental insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, retirement plan with employer contribution, flexible spending accounts, tuition reimbursement.
