Base pay range
$200,000.00/yr - $215,000.00/yr
A well-established, mission-driven nonprofit organization serving Los Angeles County is seeking a strategic, people-focused Chief Financial Officer to lead finance, compliance, and risk at the executive level. This role partners directly with the CEO and Board and plays a central role in long-term sustainability, growth planning, and enterprise transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a core member of the Executive Team driving organizational strategy
- Partner with the CEO and Board on financial planning, governance, and enterprise risk
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow
- Lead annual financial, programmatic, and government contract audits
- Ensure full compliance across contracts, grants, and government funding
- Own cost allocation methodology across multiple programs and funding sources
- Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and risk management practices
- Evaluate financial impact of strategic initiatives and growth plans
- Oversee investments and long-term financial sustainability planning
- Build scalable financial systems, reporting infrastructure, and accountability
- Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing finance team
Ideal Background
- 10+ years of senior financial leadership at CFO, Controller, Treasurer, or equivalent level
- Deep experience in budgeting, forecasting, audits, and financial reporting
- Strong background in government funding, compliance, cost allocation, and grant management
- Nonprofit financial leadership experience strongly preferred
