About the Role:
The Vice President of Finance will serve as a key strategic leader responsible for overseeing the financial health and direction of the organization. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive financial strategies that align with the company’s long-term goals and drive sustainable growth. The VP of Finance will lead financial planning, risk management, and performance measurement to ensure sound fiscal governance and operational efficiency. They will collaborate closely with executive leadership to provide insights and recommendations that support informed decision-making and strategic initiatives. Ultimately, this position is critical in shaping the financial future of the organization while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and optimizing cost management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles, including executive management.
- Proven expertise in strategic financial planning, risk management, and financial governance.
- Strong knowledge of audit regulations and compliance requirements within the United States.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic profit models and cost management strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration (MBA), or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), or CMA (Certified Management Accountant).
- Experience working in a publicly traded company or a large multinational corporation.
- Familiarity with advanced financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Proven track record of leading finance teams through periods of significant organizational change or growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic financial plans and profit models to support organizational objectives.
- Oversee financial risk management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks impacting the company’s financial stability.
- Manage financial governance frameworks ensuring compliance with audit regulations and internal policies.
- Monitor and measure organizational performance through financial metrics and reporting to guide executive decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic cost management initiatives and improve overall financial efficiency.
- Provide executive leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Engage with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to maintain transparency and uphold financial integrity.
