Key Responsibilities
Technical Development
- Independently design and develop scalable Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and declarative tools
- Build complex integrations between Salesforce and government systems using REST/SOAP APIs
- Develop solutions that work in air-gapped and offline environments
- Optimize applications for performance within governor limits
- Create reusable components and frameworks for government use cases
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development team members
- Lead code reviews and establish coding standards
- Provides oversight through code and design reviews for features delivered by other developers within their scrum team.
- Collaborate with architects on technical design decisions
- Drive adoption of best practices for Salesforce development
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing
- Develop test plans and test automation for features and/or products
- Verify quality of the code delivered through manual and automated testing. Extend the automation framework where necessary.
- Work closely with senior developers, PM, and UX to ensure their features are delivered to meet business and quality requirements
- Actively influence management regarding tools, technology and testing requirements.
- Troubleshoot production issues.
Platform Expertise
- Work with OmniStudio for dynamic forms and business process automation
- Implement security controls for government compliance requirements
- Develop solutions using Platform Events and asynchronous processing
- Build Experience Cloud sites for constituent-facing applications
- Integrate with Salesforce Data Cloud and AI capabilities
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 10+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years working on enterprise-scale applications
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Technical Skills
- Salesforce Platform : Expert-level Apex, LWC, Flow Builder, Process Builder
- Integration : REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture
- Testing : Unit testing, integration testing, test automation
- Performance : Governor limits optimization, query optimization, bulk processing
- Security : Understanding of Salesforce security model, sharing rules, field-level security
