Company Overview

Our mission is to accelerate the construction of critical infrastructure on Earth while pioneering technologies to enable humanity to build beyond Earth. Starting with Cosmic-1 – a system that installs solar panels 10x faster than today’s methods, helping us transition to a clean energy future and laying the groundwork for the future of autonomous construction.

The Role

As a Robotics Software Engineer, you will write, test, and ship code to robots working on live projects in the field. As a core member of the team, you will help define the era of autonomous construction.

This is a rare opportunity to:

  • Work on hard, meaningful problems that impact the future of infrastructure and energy.
  • Collaborate with a world-class team from NASA, SpaceX, Google, Built Robotics, and others.
  • Rapidly grow, learn, and lead within a quickly scaling company.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement software for robotic manipulation, navigation, and path planning systems
  • Contribute to the full software stack, from low-level motor control and sensor integration up to high-level application logic
  • Ensure the safety and reliability of mission-critical systems through rigorous testing and adherence to engineering best practices
  • Collaborate with the hardware team to bring up new systems and troubleshoot issues
  • Travel to customer projects for on-site testing and deployment of robotic equipment in the field
  • Maintain code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and documentation

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional engineering experience
  • Excellent C++, Python, and Linux development skills
