Human Resources Coordinator
Position Summary
This onsite role supports day-to-day Human Resources operations with a primary focus on onboarding coordination, HRIS data accuracy, employment verifications, leave documentation support, and employee service. Employee relations and union-related matters are handled in partnership with HR leadership; this position supports intake, documentation, tracking, and follow-up.
Work Location
- Position is 100% onsite (no hybrid/remote).
- Standard business hours with occasional flexibility based on operational needs.
- High-volume, deadline-driven environment; strong attention to detail required.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of office operations and administrative workflow in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to identify HR issues, collect relevant data, and elevate matters appropriately.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning new platforms and HR systems.
- Professional communication across departments; high responsiveness and follow-through.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or higher.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Internet.
- Work-related experience, preferably with Human Resources and health care services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with people of all ages, ethnic and socio-economic groups.
- Knowledge of home care and adult care settings preferred.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate onboarding steps for new hires; track completion and follow up on outstanding items.
- Maintain accurate HRIS records; generate routine reports as assigned.
- Issue employment verification letters and respond to standard verification requests.
- Coordinate employment verifications with prior employers.
- Prepare and route leave of absence documentation for review/approval; track status and deadlines.
- Provide employee service support: intake questions/concerns, document, route, and follow up.
- Provide administrative support for union-related items: tracking, documentation, scheduling, maintaining records (HR leadership leads formal processes).
- Scanning, filing, answering phones, data entry, logging and tracking.
- All other duties as assigned.
