Position Summary: The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate‑level courses in Strategic Management. Other teaching assignments may be at the undergraduate or graduate level in management‑related classes, such as business administration and international business. Experience teaching in entrepreneurship is a plus. The standard teaching load is 9 hours per semester (three courses).
Qualifications: Successful candidates will hold an earned Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Management or Business Administration from an accredited institution with an emphasis in strategic management, or a closely related discipline. Candidates who are ABD at the time of application will also be considered if they can complete their doctorate no later than the start date. Candidates must be able to publish in peer‑reviewed management journals, have experience teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, and be committed to the professional success of all students.
The person who fills the open position must demonstrate a passion for innovative, experiential‑oriented teaching and be able to contribute to the strong teaching reputation of the department’s faculty. Faculty are expected to teach in both traditional classroom and online modalities, create new courses as the department innovates, and incorporate innovative pedagogical approaches into their teaching. Candidates with industry experience are encouraged to apply. Candidates must maintain an active research agenda and meet university service requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provides instruction to undergraduate/graduate students both in‑person and online courses.
- Maintains, develops and schedules student learning experiences to achieve desired learning outcomes.
- Plans, develops, and implements evaluation tools to assess student progress toward course learning objectives.
- Familiar with learning management systems, such as Blackboard.
- Participates in university, college, and departmental level service.
- Conducts research and publishes peer‑reviewed journal articles.
Salary Range
$100,000‑110,000
