Our client is a rapidly growing construction / manufacturing organization who are looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. The organization has enjoyed incredible success in the last few years' and are seeking a candidate with a similar accounting background within a similar company to join their team as they continue their expansion.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards • Responsible for 5 sets of books & 16 operating/petty cash accounts. Bank/Balance Sheet reconciliation • Prepare month-end journal entries, along with necessary supporting documentation • Prepare various balance sheet reconciliations including cash, work in process, accrued liabilities, prepaids, among other accounts. • Assist with analyzing job costs and closing jobs at month-end • Analyze weekly cash and bank transactions to ensure properly recorded • Research accounting questions from business unit personnel and Corporate • Research and review reconciling items or accounting issues, recommend or resolve issues • Assist with process improvement and documentation of procedures. • Complete variance analysis and provide insights on changes in trend and period-over-period movements. • Assist in preparation of internal monthly and year-end financial reporting • Support annual audit procedures through data gathering, variance explanations, and documentation preparation. • Ad-hoc requirements - supporting the business with any ad-hoc reporting or request. Such areas may include system implementation/enhancements, ad-hoc business analysis/ modelling, local tax reporting and compliance, acquisition and integration support and other special projects as assigned
Required Education/Experience:
• Undergraduate degree in accounting • Minimum five years of senior experience • Prior extensive ownership of the monthly close cycle in a multi-site environment ideally complex/growing. • Financial reporting background • Advanced Excel • Acquisition experience in a PE-backed company is a strong bonus • Organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal
