What You’ll Do For senior Traffic & ITS projects, the Sr. Traffic Project Manager works diligently to complete projects within scope, budget, and schedule while understanding all risks and financial measures. The role manages client relationships, communicating updates, addressing technical, financial, or logistical issues, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include:
Leading project management, from planning to implementation.
Building and maintaining strong client relationships, serving as a seller/doer.
Identifying target markets and developing marketing plans.
Communicating updates to clients, management, and project teams.
Providing guidance to other Project Managers.
Participating in monthly project review meetings.
Adapting to change and solving problems under pressure.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Minimum 15 years of progressive engineering experience; 8 years of project management experience.
Expert knowledge in the engineering discipline with proven application of best practices.
Proficiency with MS Office, and advanced engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.).
Understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and laws related to engineering.
Familiarity with company quality control and compliance standards.
Leadership skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
Excellent knowledge of fundamentals in specialty areas.
Active participation in professional engineering society/organization preferred.
Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents.
Proven ability to lead a team.
Experience managing client relationships in the NY/Port Authority or New England areas.
Understanding and interpretation of client contract requirements.
Ability to track and oversee multiple projects.
Problem-solving skills, discretion, and independent judgment.
Management of project accounting processes, budgeting, forecasts, and cash management.
Knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred.
Articulate and persuasive communicator adaptable to various audiences.
Knowledge of MS Project and/or Primavera P6 preferred.
Ability to travel as needed.
Salary Range $160,000–$180,000
Salary is based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation.
