Orbis Operations
Orbis is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Infrastructure Engineer with extensive experience in cloud-based IT deployment, maintenance, and operations. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and resilient IT infrastructure across cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture, automation, and infrastructure-as-code, with a proven track record of supporting enterprise-level cloud initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure, focusing on scalability, security, and automation.
Implement and manage cloud resources, ensuring modularity, reusability, and ease of consumption by other teams
Implement and manage networking solutions
Configure and manage Virtual Machines (VMs)
Collaborate with security teams to enforce access control policies for sensitive resources and align with organizational security and compliance requirements
Partner with DevOps teams to integrate Azure infrastructure into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automation and efficient provisioning of resources
Assist in implementing DevOps or GitHub Actions to automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and monitoring
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and at least 6 years of relevant experience
Required Skills & Abilities
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
Expertise with various cloud platforms
Experience with configuration management tools
Proficient in scripting
Strong understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and DNS.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code
Experience with Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), DNS, and DHCP
Desired Skills & Abilities
Cloud certifications
Background in agile or DevOps environments
Understanding of compliance and security best practices
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Routine video conference and/or in-person meetings.
Ability to attend planned meetings within the Washington Metro Area region
