Executive Director – South Central South East (SCSE) Chapter, Oklahoma
Job Description The American Red Cross seeks an innovative, enthusiastic Executive Director to lead the SCSE Chapter for Oklahoma. Reporting to the Regional Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Director is the face of the Red Cross in the chapter territory, responsible for building and sustaining community relationships, managing the local Board of Directors, and leading fundraising and blood donation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the face of the Red Cross, maximizing presence and expanding community awareness.
Develop and sustain community relationships to achieve region mission goals, including revenue, fundraising, and blood collection targets.
Manage the chapter board, ensure board membership, committee participation, and meeting effective engagement.
Develop, lead, and manage community volunteer leaders to serve as local ambassadors and recruit volunteers.
Foster teamwork and inclusion by ensuring effective information flow and support for mission delivery.
Represent the chapter on the Elected Officials Liaison Network; may be deployed to disasters outside the chapter area for up to 2 weeks.
Qualifications
Education:
Four‑year college degree (BS/BA) in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Finance, Non‑Profit Administration, or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum five years of related experience, with demonstrated ability in public speaking, writing, community relationship building, and fundraising strategy.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong communications and influencing skills, proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), flexibility in managing change, familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Travel:
Willingness to travel within regions, occasionally to division sites; valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
Management Experience:
Not required.
