How you will create an impact The VP, Enterprise Architect will report to the Global head of Architecture in IS, and work closely with IS leaders across functional disciplines, business unit CIOs and architects across LoBs, Data Office, Enterprise Risk, Operations, ISO, Enterprise Systems organizations as part of a federated architecture Center of Excellence. Focus on delivering value, enabling well-architected capabilities and ensuring world class digital experiences.

Lead modernization strategy and implementation planning for new and emerging technologies, and accountable for the modernization and innovation practice management operating model.

Shape enterprise IT strategies for cross-LOB capabilities including modern data platforms, integration techniques and taxonomy development to enable future-ready AI lead capabilities and solutions.

Establish enterprise asset taxonomies addressing infrastructure, data, software, business capabilities, governance risk and compliance controls for agile delivery and risk management.

Lead innovative technologies, anchoring them in the business and operating model, using agile, DevOps and lean approaches to evolve and manage innovation.

Develop and mature overall enterprise architecture approach to AI/ML, GenAI and agentic framework for intelligent employee assistants, workflows and autonomous systems for optimal operational efficiencies across AIG stakeholder roles.

Communicate technical architecture direction and recommendations for AI-enabled IT and LoB initiatives, defining and setting standards and approach for AI/ML and agentic approaches with necessary controls and guardrails.

Define emerging hybrid cloud reference architectures and cloud infrastructure patterns.

Plan and manage a talent pool of enterprise and domain architects, working with EA and non-EA related disciplines to deliver AIG’s goals, objectives and outcomes.

Integrate emerging technology trends, patterns and technologies into overall enterprise architecture vision, principles, roadmaps and IT operating model priorities.

Lead community best practices, standards and governance for emerging technology onboarding and maturity, architecture design reviews, dependency and impact management.

Work closely with strategic business partners, cloud hyperscalars, Sis and expert groups to formulate guidance, experiment, validate and execute on key priorities.

Participate in IT leadership committees and teams.

Supervise a team of architects (enterprise, domain and technical) directly and indirectly.

What you need to succeed

Subject Matter Expert for AIG and AIG stakeholders in the field of technical architecture, existing, new and emerging technologies and processing environments.

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, systems analysis or equivalent experience.

10+ years in multiple disciplines across architecture, application development, infrastructure, information security, or operations in hybrid environments.

Minimum of 10+ years in technology leadership positions.

Expert knowledge of Gen AI/ML, SaaS, hybrid cloud, microservices & APIs, event-driven architectures, Open data, DevSecOps, predictive analytics and AI/ML.

Expert resource for information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to build trust, and communicate vision effectively with technical teams and business leadership.

For positions based in Jersey City, NJ, the base salary range is $126,000 - $171,000. For positions based in New York, the base salary range is $118,000 - $178,000. The position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
