Clinical Diabetes Specialist Location: US-NY-White plains | US-NY-White plains

Overview Generates new CGM and Insulin Pump referrals by providing virtual and in-person clinical support to prescribing CGM and insulin pump HCPs and patients within an assigned region. Collaborate closely with the Account Executive team in identifying opportunities to open new referral sources and get deeper in existing accounts by providing clinical support. Works closely with the VP of sales and National Clinical Manager in prioritizing time and schedule to ensure the best possible ROI within the assigned territories.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Director, National Clinical. The position location is within assigned territory, and the placement must be willing to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

Endocrinologist and HCP offices

Manufacturing partners

Develop and maintain professional relationships with AE's and manufacturing partners

Provide clinical support and education to offices and patients that result in new CGM and insulin pump referrals

Document office visits with notes in Salesforce and keep Salesforce Calendar updated weekly

Deliver pre-pump education, pump training, and post-training follow-up

Collaborate with and report patient status to prescribing HCPs

Deliver CGM and insulin pump virtual and in-person in-services to physicians, educators, payers, and CCS staff

Provide clinical training and education to: Sales, Enterprise Sales and Enterprise Customers, HCPS and Patients, and all CCS employees

Complete documentation of all education sessions in Salesforce

Participate in programs and in-house meetings on product information and new procedures

Assist in the development of diabetes materials with Marketing

Provide one-on-one training for employees as needed

Attend Regional and National CCS Meetings and Trade Shows or events as requested

Maintain a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information

Maintain regular, predictable, and consistent attendance, with flexibility to meet departmental needs

Follow all Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and private insurance regulations and requirements

Abide by all regulations, policies, procedures, and standards

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), or the equivalent combination or education and experience.

Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) by National Certification Board of Diabetes Educators

Recent adult insulin pump & CGM training experience (one-on-one and group sessions) is required and pediatric insulin (Pediatric pump & CGM training experience preferred)

Current certification(s) on available insulin pumps preferred

Current state licensure as Registered Nurse or Registered Dietitian / Licensed Dietitian

Excellent public speaking and presentation skills

Possesses the skills to work independently and be self-directed

Experience with developing relationships with HCPs and/or other diabetes healthcare professionals

Proficient with various Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Advanced knowledge of processing methodologies and medical terminology

Knowledge of CCS Medical product line(s), general coverage, clinical criteria, regulatory and compliance standards
