Martinsburg, WV is in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, a little more than an hour from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD, close to three international airports. A rural atmosphere and a lower cost of living mixed with easy accessibility to the Washington DC/Baltimore areas make the Eastern Panhandle an ideal place to live. While Berkeley County is among the fastest growing counties in the state, there is little congestion and traffic. In recent years, a steady influx of urban professionals from nearby Washington, DC and Baltimore, Maryland has contributed to the growth of local telecommuting and high‑tech industries.
