Overall Goal of Position Provide leadership for all Indirect Procurement and External Manufacturing functions and fully support factory operations while embracing, promoting, and building OurRecipe@SauerBrands.

Job Summary The Procurement Manager for Sauer Brands, Inc. is responsible for strategically managing the teams responsible for:

Indirect spend categories, strategy development and execution, for all SBI locations

External manufacturing, sourcing strategy as well as vendor relationship

The successful candidate will be able to identify and implement both tactical and strategic strategies, based on the categories analysis (Leverage vs Bottleneck, SWOT, etc.) while performing Supplier Relationship Management at a high level. The ability to both act like an owner while working collaboratively with cross‑functional peers is a must. As a Sauer Brands team member, the candidate will execute special projects, initiatives as assigned and support the broader operations team. Furthermore, the candidate must embrace and support the building of the Sauer Brands Recipe.

Key Duties and Responsibilities Indirect Responsibilities

Partner with Finance to execute a spend analysis for all Indirect Spend and identify key dig sites as well as map out a strategy for indirect spend management.

Develop Category Strategies and execute Strategic Sourcing activities for the Indirect Spend Portfolio.

Negotiate supply agreements and contracts. Develop cost models (clean sheet) and incorporate structured price risk management and supply contingency planning within sourcing strategies and clearly articulated in supply agreements for effective risk mitigation in compliance with corporate policies, goals, and objectives.

Collaborate with stakeholder teams to develop scope of work and identify vendor requirements that will develop desired outcomes.

Maintain knowledge of indirect spend supply base, market dynamics and their impact on cost, key industry trends, etc.

Identify, recommend, and lead pipeline of strategic productivity projects and other procurement initiatives, providing scope of work, benefits, and resource plan.

External Manufacturing Responsibilities

Provide Procurement management for External Manufacturing (EM).

Accountable for supplier optimization process and ensures successful contract execution.

Develop and execute the Procurement strategy that supports EM strategy and is aligned with key partners like R&D, commercialization leads, etc.

Track and report on performance measures such as service level compliance, quality conformity and cost.

Work on financial planning including developing pricing forecasts and budget assumptions to meet financial planning calendar and has accountability for productivity and cash flow contributions.

Maintains strong linkages with stakeholders in External Manufacturing, Manufacturing, R&D, Commercialization and other Supply Chain functions to ensure alignment on goals and directs their respective activities accordingly.

Education and Experience Requirements

College Degree Required (Business, Finance, Economics, or Engineering preferred)

7 to 10 years of experience in Indirect Procurement or External Manufacturing

Proven management and/or supervisory experience a plus

Experience with ERP System(s), Oracle (Peoplesoft) preferred

Performance History Requirements

Documented history of making improvements in assigned work area/responsibilities

Stellar references based on contributions and performance
