Justworks is looking for a Senior Corporate Tax Director with a proven track record in driving impactful strategic tax initiatives, designing and implementing new processes, and ensuring Justworks is positioned in the most efficient, compliant way possible from a tax perspective.
What You Will Work On
Build and lead Justworks’ global tax strategy to support rapid growth across multiple jurisdictions, balancing compliance, optimization, and innovation.
Oversee direct, indirect, and transaction‑based taxes (including VAT, GST, withholding, and digital services taxes) across jurisdictions, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Lead and develop the income tax provision process.
Design and maintain robust intercompany transfer pricing policies to reflect our global operating model.
Advise on tax implications for international expansion and acquisitions.
Monitor emerging global tax regulations and proactively manage risks with regulators, tax authorities, and auditors.
Partner closely with Compliance, Legal, Treasury, and Operations to embed tax considerations into strategic and operational decision‑making.

Qualifications
Minimum 12+ years of relevant tax experience (including a combination of public accounting and corporate tax experience).
Deep expertise in tax compliance, transfer pricing, international tax, and indirect taxes.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline‑driven environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various levels of the organization.
CPA or equivalent qualification required; advanced degree (LL.M. or JD in Taxation) preferred.
The base wage range for this position based in our New York City office is targeted at $225,000.00 – $270,000.00 per year. Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
