Overview If you have an outgoing personality with excellent communication skills, have dental knowledge and experience working as a Dental Assistant, we would love to meet you! Duties include but not limited to: Prepare patients for treatments, take records, impressions, or x-rays, select and set up instruments & equipment as needed, assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry to name a few. To be considered for this position you must be X-ray certified in the state of FL with hands on dental assisting experience. We are looking for a candidate to travel to our sister offices: Towncare Dental Associates of Homestead, Dental Center of Kendall & Miami Beach Dental Center. Mileage reimbursement included! Position Overview: As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. - Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
- Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
- Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
- Six months on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
- X-Ray certification
- Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be willing to travel (travel reimbursement included)
