Senior Payloads Design Engineer
Boeing is looking for an experienced engineer to support the Interiors Team of our 777X program in Everett, WA. The Payloads Organization delivers the interior, cargo, exterior markings, and cabin safety systems that enable airline customers to fulfill their mission and shape customer perceptions.
Responsibilities
Lead the development, integration, and documentation of interior payload system requirements to establish system design.
Perform or oversee approval of analyses and test/inspection results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
Lead teams on managing supplier performance, test and production activities and coordinate with suppliers to optimize design and achieve program goals.
Develop new design/analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.
Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs.
Lead teams to develop, maintain and modify structural and interior payload system and component design, using 3‑D Computer Aided Design tools and other design methods to provide product definition throughout the product lifecycle.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Material Sciences).
At least 5 years of engineering experience in design, integration, and/or certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience leading cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
9+ years of program or project management experience, including schedule, financial, resources and risk management.
Strong understanding and demonstrated experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalents.
Experience in aerospace interiors, materials and properties, design criteria and release processes.
Excellent problem‑solving, critical thinking and communication skills.
Demonstrated interest in continuous personal learning and development.

Pay & Benefits Competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. Eligibility for health insurance, flexible spending accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time off.
