Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative III Floater (PSR III) serves as the face of the company to patients, assisting with blood draws and specimen preparation for lab testing while maintaining a professional, safe, and patient-focused environment.
- The PSR III ensures accuracy in specimen collection, labeling, and documentation while providing excellent customer service.
- Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor s office, a patient service center, or other locations as business needs dictate.
- Floaters travel between multiple sites and must be punctual and reliable.
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Flexible and available for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- Committed to company policies, dress code, health & safety, and guiding principles.
- Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver s license, and clean driving record required.
- Travel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations with minimal notice.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Superior customer focus with strong communication skills and adaptability.
- Minimum three years of phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Preferred minimum two years experience in a Patient Service Center environment.
- Customer service experience in retail or service settings preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established procedures.
- Verify patient demographic information and ensure correct labeling of specimens.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- Travel between sites as needed, ensuring punctuality and readiness to cover assigned locations.
- Phlebotomy (pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections).
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Customer service and communication.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic training preferred).
