Phlebotomist Emergency Department Job at Trinity Health in Mason City

**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** With excellent customer service skills, the phlebotomist collects blood, urine, and DNA specimens from patients for testing in the Emergency Department. Also performs point-of-care laboratory tests.

• *Schedule:** 0.875 position (30 hours one week and 40 the next). 7 days on, 7 days off. Start on Thursday and work until the next Wednesday. Every other weekend and holidays if they fall on schedule.
• *Education:**

• High school diploma or equivalent is required _._
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or medical training is preferred.
• Completion of a Phlebotomy Technician Certification program is preferred.

**Experience:** + Previous phlebotomy experience preferred. **Special Skills and Competencies:**

• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Ability to make sound, independent decisions.
