The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company for patients seeking healthcare services, either for routine care or critical health decisions. The PSR I is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing, following established practices and procedures. This position involves direct patient interaction, where the PSR I ensure a trusting and confident environment by clearly explaining procedures and performing blood draws in a safe, accurate, and skillful manner. - Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment.
- Confidently handle both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing, adhering to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image of the company and provide excellent service to patients, clients, employees, and the general public.
- Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Flexible and available for various shifts based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification is preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
- A minimum of 6 months of experience is required.
- One year or more of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
- Experience in customer service within a retail or service environment is preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience is essential.
