Pantheon Data is a private, small business based in the Washington, DC area. Founded in 2011, the company began by providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the U.S. Coast Guard. Position Overview Senior Manager – U.S. Coast Guard Assistant Program Executive Office (APEO) Team. Responsible for collaborating closely with senior customer leadership to shape portfolio strategy, drive execution, and oversee recurring initiatives, deliverables, and ad‑hoc projects throughout the year. Key duties include crafting acquisition documentation, addressing stakeholder inquiries, and providing seamless support for executive meetings.
Responsibilities
Establish and uphold quality standards for all team members, serving as a liaison between government clients and project staff to ensure messaging alignment and successful collaboration.
Serve as a strategic advisor to the APEO, its subject matter experts, and Program Management Offices guiding communications, strategic initiatives, and tactical planning.
Act as a key institutional connector, coordinating across program offices to ensure organizational priorities are aligned and articulated to Congressional stakeholders.
Lead the development and management of executive and Congressional briefing materials, issue papers, and responses.
Manage or supervise other team members in the execution of tasks requiring attention to detail and sensitivity.
Analyze and distill leadership priorities, communicating key themes and actionable insights to diverse stakeholder groups.
Oversee the preparation and quality assurance of briefing materials for appointments, conferences, and meetings.
Research, draft, and edit informational materials, decision memoranda, and internal communications to support leadership and organizational objectives.
Facilitate documentation development for acquisition planning and project management, spanning mission analysis, requirements generation, design, development, production, and deployment.
Plan, prepare, track, and maintain periodic acquisition briefing materials and program documentation.
Required Skills and Experience Prior Work Experience
Minimum 10 years of recognized industry experience providing support and strategic advice to senior government executives.
Minimum 5 years of dedicated experience supporting the U.S. Coast Guard (most preferred; other Defense branches prioritized).
Proven experience managing a delivery team while fostering and expanding strategic client relationships.
Skilled in establishing and tracking cost, schedule, and performance metrics to ensure project success.
Skills / Achievements
Bachelor’s degree
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
Proficient understanding of DHS Acquisition Instructions/Guidebook (102‑01), U.S. Coast Guard Major Systems Acquisition Manual (MSAM), or DOD 5000‑compliant ACAT I or II programs preferred.
Proficiency in O365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong attention to detail and unwavering commitment to accuracy.
Interpersonal Fit
Highly articulate and well‑spoken in English.
Remote / Deadline Fit
Ability to work effectively remotely in cross‑functional teams.
Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
Clearance Requirements U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Work Location St. Elizabeth’s DHS Campus – Washington, D.C. (minimum 3+ days onsite with the option to telework with client approval). Our company prioritizes flexibility; remote or hybrid arrangements may include periodic work from a Pantheon Data office location or client site.
Compensation Salary range: $100,000 – $115,000, based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements. Compensation may occasionally fall outside this range.
