Summary of position The
Senior Director of Human Resources
is a mission‑driven strategic partner who supports our skilled nursing and assisted living centers in delivering exceptional patient care through a strong, engaged workforce.
This role collaborates closely with clinical and operational leaders to align people strategies with organizational goals, enhance employee engagement, and drive workforce effectiveness. The Senior Director provides expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, talent development, and workforce planning, while ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
This highly collaborative position provides HR leadership within an assigned geographic region, supporting talent acquisition and retention initiatives, fostering a positive workplace culture, and leading HR compliance and process improvement efforts. The Senior Director also contributes to the development and continuous improvement of internal policies and procedures and serves as a mentor and resource for Directors of Human Resources across the organization.
Requirements of the position Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field strongly preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
Master’s degree or advanced HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM‑SCP) preferred
Experience
Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including multi‑site or regional oversight
Proven success in developing and implementing HR strategies that drive employee engagement and organizational performance.
Prior experience in healthcare, senior living, or a similarly regulated industry preferred but not required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Deep knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of an organization.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
Excellent communication, coaching, and presentation skills
Ability to lead and mentor HR professionals across multiple locations
Commitment to fostering a positive, mission‑driven culture aligned with organizational value.
Travel
Must have valid driver’s license
Ability to travel to assigned facilities as needed
