Pay Range: $85,000-105,000, plus yearly bonus. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications obtained. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.
Job Description The Epic Beaker Analyst II leads the design, configuration, and optimization of Epic Beaker workflows within and across specialty areas to enable reliable, efficient laboratory operations and revenue cycle performance. This role applies a deep understanding of laboratory science, data integration, and order‑to‑cash processes to create scalable and compliant solutions.
The Beaker Analyst II collaborates with laboratory leadership, technology, and cross‑application Epic teams to ensure that all Beaker configurations support laboratory excellence, operational efficiency, and end‑user experience. The role also contributes to standardization efforts, governance models, and mentoring of other analysts.
Responsibilities
Lead design and configuration of Beaker CP/AP workflows, instrument interfaces, and middleware integrations.
Architect and validate cross‑specialty templates (Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Molecular, AP).
Partner with enterprise architecture and revenue‑cycle teams to strengthen the digital chain from order capture through results, coding, and billing.
Manage validation protocols, regression testing, and change‑control documentation.
Mentor analysts, establishing configuration standards and reusable components.
Monitor operational KPIs (TAT, error rate, billing success) and implement system enhancements to improve experience and efficiency.
Qualifications Required Work Experience
5+ years of Epic Beaker configuration experience with measurable improvements in laboratory performance.
Mastery of specimen routing, result rules, and billing interface logic.
Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary build teams.
Deep understanding of regulatory and data‑integrity standards in a lab setting.
Preferred Work Experience
Experience integrating Beaker with automation systems or reference‑lab networks.
Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or continuous‑improvement methodologies.
Physical and Mental Requirements
Work requires handling light and simple weight material and equipment. Visual activity requires the ability to tolerate prolonged periods of close computer screens. Work requires speed, accuracy and adeptness to operate in system application. Fast‑paced work environment. After hours, weekend and holiday work will occasionally be required as determined by the Application Manager to support software/hardware patches, upgrades, downtimes and potential disasters.
