Leidos is seeking a Systems Integration and Test Engineer to support the Alaska Automation Capability (AAC) and Future Flight Services Program (FFSP) contracts with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role is a member of our test team and is responsible for integrating and testing software that provides flight planning and other services to the pilot community.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to verify software functionality, performance, and compliance with requirements in an Agile environment.
Debug system‑level issues and provide detailed supporting data on identified issues.
Document and track system defects and verify fixes.
Understand system level requirements.
Learn system architecture, design, functions, and capabilities to support the integration and test of new capabilities and enhancements.
Perform system checkouts in physical and virtual test labs to ensure systems are properly configured and ready for testing.
Execute manual and automated regression test procedures after software modification.
Execute manual and automated adaptation regression procedures every 26 and 56 days.
Execute manual and automated patch regression procedures monthly.
Work in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 8+ years of professional experience; or 6+ years of professional experience with a related master's degree.
Ability to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer.
Experience in following a documented Integration and Test Development Process.
Experience in the use of UNIX and Linux operating systems.
Strong integration skills with hands‑on experience integrating large software complex systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to interface with internal and external customers.
Desired Skills
Air Traffic Control and Flight Service Experience.
Transportation Solutions engineering process experience.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Pay Range Pay Range: $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
