Key Responsibilities
Understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Design, build and operate scalable data architecture and modeling solutions.
Lead workstream delivery and ensure quality across all processes.
Engage with clients daily, identifying opportunities for additional services.
Implement resource plans and budgets while managing engagement economics.
Stay current with emerging technologies and drive innovation in data engineering.
Mentor and develop a team of data engineers fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Communicate with stakeholders, including non‑technical audiences, to convey complex concepts and project progress.
Maintain data governance, security and quality across the data lifecycle.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
4 – 6 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on cloud data solutions and analytics.
Proven expertise in Databricks and Spark for big data processing.
Strong background in data architecture and cloud analytics design.
Experience leading and managing teams, mentoring talent.
Programming skills in Python, Scala and SQL.
Excellent problem‑solving, communication and client‑management skills.
Managerial Expertise
Strategic Leadership – align data initiatives with organizational goals and drive strategic vision.
Project Management – manage multiple projects and teams to ensure timely delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement – present solutions to executives and other stakeholders.
Change Management – guide clients through data‑transformation and technology adoption.
Risk Management – identify and mitigate project risks.
Technical Leadership – make architectural decisions impacting project outcomes.
Documentation & Reporting – create reports and documentation for clients.
Large‑Scale Implementation Experience (Examples)
Enterprise Data Lake – designed and deployed a cloud‑based data lake for a Fortune 500 retailer.
Real‑Time Analytics Platform – led real‑time fraud detection using Databricks for a financial services client.
Data Warehouse Modernization – modernized a legacy data warehouse to a cloud‑native architecture in healthcare.
Additional Desired Experience
Advanced analytics tools and techniques.
Machine learning concepts and applications.
Industry‑specific data‑governance and compliance standards.
Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP data services.
Experience with machine‑learning frameworks.
