Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr
Position The Warehouse Manager position is based in Houston, TX and manages all the service operations for North America. The role plays an important part in the rapidly growing company within the North America Market and reports to the Supply Chain Manager.
Job Responsibilities
Manage and lead all direct and temporary employees across all Sungrow Service warehouse operations
Prioritize and manage high priority escalated issues to completion
Manage and maintain metrics that track team, partner, and individual productivity
Ensure all warehouse service activities are documented in SAP systems
Ensure SLA warehouse performance requirements are clearly identified for each customer and work with the rest of the team to achieve the goal for each service contract
Implement and sustain warehouse best practices 5S
Establish safety policies and enforce them to prevent unnecessary accidents (Safety, Forklift, etc.)
Maintain and update standards and safety training for warehouse that adjusts to changes in workforce or conditions that may arise in order to complete daily activities
Lead quarterly inventory counts and report accuracy
Maintain inventory-based minimum inventory, forecasting, and failure rate trends that adjust to demands
Manage scrap process in the warehouse, external warehouses and possibly project locations as required
Review third party orders for outside processes (such as transformer repairs) and required documentation
Oversee warehouse operations, making sure leaders and workers complete tasks quickly and effectively
Manage warehouse worker schedules to ensure enough labor to properly operate and complete shipping and receiving to meet customer or FSE project expectations
Manage inventory levels for spare components and collaborate with Field Service Manager to maintain spare or warranty parts levels in the field
Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality and proper inventory programs
Manage material requirements for field service and repair centers through Sungrow Supply Chain process to HQ
Manage and reduce high priority escalations and conflicts
Manage service logistics which include scheduling shipments and pickup of components
Track and escalated logistic or shipping delays to managed escalation process
Order spare parts from out factory for field services and update other departments about lead times
Coordinate delivery and forecasting of spare parts and unit
Manage outside inventory for spare parts, transformers, and complete units
Coordinate and work closely with other departments such as Sales operations, Finance, sales, etc.
Minimum Requirements
5+ years in warehouse operations, supervision, or management experience
3+ years of overall experience in a service organization
Experience in solar inverters or other electrical related fields is a plus
Ability to work with test equipment and hand tools as required
Customer service, problem‑solving skills, decision‑making and analytical skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage people and motivate to increase performance
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
Education or Desired License And Certificates
Business or Technical degree or equivalent experience
Solar industry experience is a plus
