Data Solution Architect
MTSI is looking for a Data Solution Architect. You will lead the design, development, and governance of cutting-edge data architectures tailored to align with organizational objectives and complex enterprise technology ecosystems. With a proven track record in innovation and leadership, you will be a strategic influencer, guiding cross‑functional teams and advising senior executives to deliver scalable and secure data solutions.
Qualifications and Requirements
Architectural Focus: Proven ability to design and govern data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures to support analytics at scale.
Design Thinking: Familiarity with design thinking principles and user‑centered data product design; collaborate with UI/UX teams to ensure systems are intuitive, usable, and responsive to user needs.
Leadership and Communication: Strong communicator and technical leader with experience advising executives, managing cross‑functional initiatives, and mentoring junior architects and engineers.
Governance and Security: Hands‑on knowledge of data frameworks, privacy regulations like GDPR/CCPA, and security across structured, semi‑structured, and unstructured data.
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of modern data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift, or Azure Synapse; deep expertise in data engineering principles, data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical), and metadata management using advanced tools like ER/Studio, dbt, Apache Atlas.
Integration and Pipelines: Expertise in data integration technologies (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, Informatica, Fivetran); experience with real‑time streaming pipelines (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, Flink).
Experience: Minimum of 15 years in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data systems; proven background in designing and implementing large‑scale, high‑performance, secure data solutions.
Strategic Vision: Ability to align technical architectures with business strategy and translate complex requirements into elegant data‑driven solutions.
AI and MLOps: Familiarity with AI/ML data pipelines, model training environments, and MLOps integration (considered a plus).
Certifications (Strongly Desired)
Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) - DAMA International.
AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty.
Google Professional Data Engineer.
Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification.
Mission‑Critical Expertise
Prior success in regulated, mission‑critical, and government environments.
Experience designing secure or classified data solutions for sensitive applications.
Educational Background
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field (required).
Master's or PhD in a related field (strongly preferred).
Work Location
Work from a local MTSI office.
Security Requirements
An active TS/SCI security clearance is required to start.
SAP experience preferred but not required.
US Citizenship is required.
