Job Description: Additional Information About the Position for Qualified Candidates

• Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus • Up to 80 hours of front-loaded Paid Time Off • Up to $3,000 Relocation bonus • Clinical Ladder up to $5,000

This position will float to multiple locations across all CoxHealth campuses and will receive float pay of $20.00 per hour.

Job Summary

The Internal Agency Physical Therapist (PT) evaluates and treats patient in acute, post-acute, and outpatient settings throughout CoxHealth facilities. The PT treats patients of all ages as ordered. PT staff assist patients to reach their highest level of functioning and make recommendations for the next level of care. The physical therapist plans and implements prevention, habilitation, and/or rehabilitation services including mobility devices, counseling and orientation for mobility, pain relief, increasing strength, and improving or correcting disabling conditions. Internal Agency Physical Therapists participate in a rotation to various units, hospitals, and/or outpatient settings as determined by Therapy Services leadership. Schedules for the IA PT will be determined by area and day of greatest need and will include weekends and holidays.

Direct care staff are required to complete all Hip and Knee Replacement Program curriculum and the annual education module(s) assigned.

Job Requirements

Education

• Required: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program • Preferred: Masters or Doctorate from an accredited program of Physical Therapy

Experience

• Preferred: 2 years of experience in Physical Therapy

Skills

• Good clinical expertise, communication skills, human relations skills and organizational skills required. • Self-motivated individual who can work independently with little direct supervision required • Has demonstrated interest in professional growth by attendance at continuing education workshops, and applications of new principles and/or techniques.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Required: Active Missouri licensure for Physical Therapy. (Temporary licensure not accepted) • Required: BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire Education: ▪ Required: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program ▪ Preferred: Masters or Doctorate from an accredited program of Physical Therapy Experience: ▪ No prior experience required Skills: ▪ Good clinical expertise, communication skills, human relations skills and organizational skills required. ▪ Self-motivated individual who can work independently with little direct supervision required ▪ Has demonstrated interest in professional growth by attendance at continuing education workshops, and applications of new principles and/or techniques.
