MAPFRE is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as
Assistant Vice President (AVP), National Material Damage Claims . This role is responsible for driving strategic and operational excellence across our multi-state Material Damage claims function. You will lead transformation initiatives, champion a customer-first approach, and develop a high-performing team dedicated to delivering timely, accurate, and equitable claim outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the strategic vision for National Material Damage Claims operations in alignment with corporate goals.
Oversee all aspects of claims operations across multiple states, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
Lead vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and manage performance for DRP shops and appraisal firms.
Drive innovation through automation, digital tools, and AI-powered solutions to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
Champion customer experience by ensuring empathy, transparency, and responsiveness at every touchpoint.
Build and mentor a high-performing leadership team, fostering engagement, diversity, and succession planning.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience leading multi-state Material Damage operations.
Strong knowledge of regulatory environments, auto body industry trends, and DRP agreements.
Appraiser license(s) strongly preferred; I-CAR Platinum certification required or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
Proven ability to lead strategic transformation and deliver measurable results.

Pay Philosophy The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at MAPFRE are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Salary Range $185,000 - $225,000
