Overview
LMI is seeking a Technical Manager with strong Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) expertise to support Government leadership personnel, oversee planning and execution of test and evaluation projects for our DHS client in a highly dynamic work environment.
This is an on-site position in the Washington, DC area that requires the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance or higher. You must also be a U.S. citizen and able to work in the customer's DC office location at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities
Provide Intra-Departmental liaison support to the Defense Capability Group (DCG) Lead, coordinating information regarding C-UAS activities across all DHS components, as well as interagency networking between other DCG agencies.
Observe and report on Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) technology demonstrations and Test and Evaluation (T&E) programs and projects for senior Law Enforcement Executives
Track ongoing RDT&E, technology demonstrations, and T&E activities to assess viability of deployment and operational capabilities of COTS, GOTS, and integrated C-UAS systems.
Leverage comprehensive understanding of legal exemptions regarding C-UAS, to include: Title 6, 124n; Title 10 130i, as well as Executive Orders 14305 and 14307 regarding American air superiority, to:
Coordinate operational plan (OPLAN) information with Office of Chief Counsel and Office of General Counsel for approval.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
8-10 years of relevant experience preferred
Interdisciplinary systems engineering lifecycle skillsets with knowledge of C-UAS technologies
Understanding of law enforcement CONOPS, particularly regarding C-UAS
Must have a strong technology background and understand a wide array of technologies and how they communicate
Strong understanding of geospatial analysis and applications
Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Demonstrate a high level of initiative and be a self-starter, solution seeker
A true team player who promotes cross-functional collaboration and maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment
Must understand how to work and brief effectively with high level Government staff
Ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
You must be a U.S. citizen.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, as needed
Must work in the customer's office space in downtown DC at least 3 days per week
Target salary range: $165,000 - $195,000.
