Director of Business Development – Janitorial Services, New York As a Director of Business Development, you will be a strategic force, driving significant growth and expanding our market presence within the janitorial services sector. You will leverage your extensive industry expertise and proven track record of success to identify and secure high‑value contracts with major commercial clients. Your leadership will be crucial in developing innovative solutions, cultivating strong client relationships, and ensuring our position as the preferred provider of building maintenance and cleaning services.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development: Identify and target potential clients who require building maintenance and janitorial services.

Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture long‑term relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction and explore opportunities for expanding service offerings.

Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategies to increase the company's market share and overall growth, analyzing market trends and researching competition.

Sales Process Management: Manage the sales process from initial contact and qualification to closing deals and transitioning new accounts to the operations team.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as operations and sales support, to ensure smooth service delivery and client satisfaction.

Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.

Proposal Development: Create tailored proposals and presentations that highlight the company's value proposition and effectively address client needs.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience: 5+ years of progressive sales and business development experience, with a focus on the facilities services industry.

Education: A Bachelor's degree in business management is preferred.

Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; strategic thinking; ability to manage multiple priorities; proficiency in CRM systems.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

The individual's skill sets, experience and training;

Licensure and certification requirements;

Office location and other geographic considerations;

Other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
