Pay Range: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
Job Summary Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager of the Endoscopy Unit, provides care for diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterological equipment. Responsible for the quality and effectiveness of the Endoscopy Unit equipment. Provides technical assistance during procedures under direction of the physician.
Minimum Qualifications Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program strongly preferred.
Sterile processing training course strongly preferred. On the job training may be provided.
Experience
Previous sterile processing or instrument technician experience strongly preferred.
Licensure and/or Certification
BLS healthcare provider is required within 3 months of hire.
Certificate of completion from accredited surgical technology program preferred.
Sterile Processing Technician from International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) preferred. SGNA certification preferred.
Skills

Strong attention to detail.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
Computer skills required.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
