This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies.

Duties

Conduct flight test evaluations for aircraft and aviation system acquisition programs.

Conduct developmental flight tests that encompasses aircraft performance and flying qualities, aircraft systems performance and operations characteristics of new or modified military helicopters and airplanes.

Conduct aircraft systems tests that include weapon systems, electro-optical sensors, and threat countermeasures suites.

Create test plans and formal reports, rendering judgments regarding the performance, mission suitability and system safety of the tested aircraft or system.

Requirements

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

A one-year trial/probationary period may be required.

You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.

This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Practitioner Career Level Certification must be met within 5 years.

You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Business travel is required up to 70% of the time and travel may include OCONUS locations.

Selectee must have a Federal Aviation Administration Medical Certificate, Second Class or military equivalent.

Must be a graduate of U.S. Naval Test Pilot School, U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School or foreign equivalent.

This is a drug testing designated position. Incumbent is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.

The employee must meet DoDI 5000.66 requirements applicable to the duties of the position.

Selectee must be willing to sign a written agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years.
