About the Opportunity We are recruiting on behalf of a
global medical technology organization
seeking a
Senior Software Engineer
to join an advanced
Algorithm Development
team. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing
real-time signal processing algorithms
that power next-generation medical devices.
You will work across the full software lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to translate prototype algorithms into
production-ready, high-performance software
deployed in regulated healthcare environments. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced engineers who enjoy solving complex technical challenges and contributing to products with meaningful real-world impact.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement
real-time signal processing algorithms
for embedded and x86-based systems
Translate prototype algorithms (e.g., Python, MATLAB) into
production-grade C# or C/C++ code
Optimize and profile software for performance, reliability, and scalability
Collaborate with product software and systems teams to integrate algorithms into system architectures
Support software lifecycle activities including
design documentation, testing, verification, and validation
Partner with stakeholders across engineering, quality, and product development to ensure requirements are met
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in
Computer Science, Electrical Engineering , or a related technical field
10+ years of relevant industry experience
in software development (15+ years preferred)
Strong hands-on programming experience in
C# and C/C++
(Windows and/or Linux)
Experience with
Python, MATLAB, or similar scientific programming languages
Proven experience designing, optimizing, integrating, and validating
complex real-time data processing algorithms
Experience with
CI/CD frameworks
(e.g., Azure DevOps, pipelines)
Proficiency with modern development tools and source control systems (e.g., Visual Studio, PyCharm, Git)
Solid understanding of software development best practices, including
object-oriented design and design patterns
Experience or working knowledge of
product design control processes , including requirements and test documentation
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have
Experience developing software in
medical devices or other regulated industries
Exposure to
machine learning or deep learning algorithms
Experience optimizing software for
embedded targets
Work Environment This position is primarily
on-site , with a minimum expectation of four days per week in the office to support collaboration, innovation, and effective problem-solving.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range:
$160,000 – $180,000 (dependent on experience, skills, and location)
Comprehensive benefits package including healthcare coverage, retirement plans, and paid time off
