Commercial Construction Estimator
Location: Dallas, Texas | Type: Full-time | Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year plus benefits
Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management and estimating, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. The Construction Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver precise estimates that support our construction projects.

Duties
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive project estimates.
Develop detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs associated with construction projects.
Consult with clients, vendors, and internal and external personnel to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
Prepare and present detailed proposals and contract documents for review by stakeholders.
Collaborate with project managers to assess project requirements and timelines.
Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam, Planswift or Sage to create accurate bids.
Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and project changes.
Visit project site and document any information necessary to improve on future estimates.
Maintain knowledge of material, methods and tools in order to improve the quality of estimates.
Requirements
Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field. Minimum 2-3 years of experience.
Experience with Concrete and/or Masonry estimation (Preferred).
Experience with Commercial Hardscape estimation (Preferred).
Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for cost control and pricing accuracy.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and technical documents.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
Familiarity with project management methodologies is a plus.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with Bluebeam, Planswift or Sage to create accurate bids.
